Syracuse, Miami Friday matchup postponed due to Hurricane Irma

Hurricane Irma has been recently downgraded to a category-3 storm, but that didn't stop hundreds of thousands Florida residents from fleeing the state.

Syracuse’s match with Miami on Friday at SU Soccer Stadium has been postponed due to Hurricane Irma. The game will be rescheduled at a later date.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their Florida homes because of Irma. Miami is among several cities on the coast suffering from the hurricane.

SU’s next game will be at home against No. 18 Wake Forest on Sept. 21.
